Description: My two friends and I did this trail on a very windy day, at sunset, and at low tide. The trail starts at Genivieve Lake and walks you through wooded forest on a wide easy trail, until you reach the beach. Although the weather was intensely windy, the trail and beach were protected from the large gusts. Would highly recommend doing the trail at low tide to enjoy the vast serene flatness of the beach! It was a gorgeous beach, with soft grey/brown sand, gentle ripples all over, a dramatic rock, and views of the sunset against the ocean and surrounding mountains.

The trail and beach are dog friendly. We brought my friend’s puppy; he had a fantastic time running on the sand and making friends with another dog. Although mostly an easy hike, I was injured so it was difficult for me. This one doesn’t have exact stats because I did not track it.
