Description: Russian Ridge is a densely forested area of dozens of criss-crossing dirt bike/ATV trails. The elevation changes and mileage can vary for what you want to do. We basically just wandered about the trails exploring. It seems like a great place to walk, run, or dirt bike. Dog friendly for sure, just make sure they don’t get too far as you will occasionally come across dirt bikers. This was a very bright green and pretty walk, like Fort Abercrombie but less crowded. The area is relatively hilly, beautifully wooded, filled with bright green moss, ground growth, and trees. After passing next to the city water area, the trail clears and boasts one of the best views of the Three Sisters I have found on Kodiak. Great place to explore the forests on Kodiak.
